Schulenburg Police Report

Schulenburg Police Chief Troy Brenek reports on the following incidents his department responded to during the week of March 9, 15.

Animal Complaint

On March 13,Animal Control Officer Gina Harden took a complaint at the police station regarding loose rabbits in the 1200 block of South Street.

Assault

On March 13, Officer MD Krenek responded to the 1200 block of Simpson regarding an assault.

Agency Assist

On March 13, Krenek was dispatched to Eastbound I-10 to be on the lookout for a vehicle that was involved in a hit and run in Colorado county. Officer was unable to locate the vehicle.

Burglary in Progress

On March 11, Officer Hailee Vincent responded to the 1300 block of Summit for a burglary in progress.

Civil Matter

On March 11, Vincent was dispatched to the 900 block of Lyons Avenue for a civil matter concerning child custody.

Fire

On March 14, Krenek responded to the 300 block of St. John Rd. for a structure fire.

Harassment

On March 12, Officer Jeffrey Whited responded to the 89 block of Kessler for a subject wanting to file harassment charges against a male subject.

Lost Property

On March 5, Vincent responded to the 300 block of Schwartz Blvd. regarding missing money boxes from the concession stand for baseball and softball field. Checked the cameras and the boxes were later accounted for.

Suspicious person

On March 11, Vincent responded to the 1100 block of Bohlmann Avenue for a man in the park wearing a suit with a rifle. Officer checked the area and observed a boy under the pavilion with nerf guns. Officer made contact and was advised he and his brother were playing a game. Officer contacted parents and all was fine.

Traffic Stop

On March 15, Vincent stopped a driver for speeding in the 100 block of Kessler. A citation was issued.

Theft

On March 11, Officer Juan Castilleja was dispatched to the 14 block of N. Kessler for a theft.
