Schulenburg Police Report

Schulenburg Police Chief Troy Brenek reports on the following incidents his department responded to during the week of March 24-30.

Animal Complaint

On March 27, Code Enforcement Animal Control Officer Gina Harden responded to the 100 block of Baumgarten for a loose dog.

On March 27, Harden responded to the 1300 block of Pierce for dogs in complainants yard tearing up her yard and taking things off her porch.

On March 28, Harden received a call from the 700 block of Baumgarten for kittens needing to be taken to the animal shelter.

On March 28, Harden responded to the 800 block of Simpson for a loose dog.

Assault

On March 28, Officer James Whited responded to the 500 block of Shorthorn for an assault.

Civil Matter

On March 24, Whited was dispatched to the 1200 block of James regarding a stolen vehicle.

On March 26, Officer Juan Castilleja met with an individual in the 600 block of Upton regarding a closed bank account.

DWI

On March 25, Officer Byron Powe was dispatched to the 600 block of W. I-10 for a vehicle taking up both lanes of traffic. Officer located the driver, and they were arrested for DWI.

Disturbance

On March 29, Castilleja was dispatched to the 500 block of West Avenue for a disturbance between a resident and a staff member.

Suspicious Person/Vehicle On March 29, Officer Hailee Vincent was dispatched to the 2800 block of FM 2672 for a suspicious person in parking lot.

On March 30, Vincent was dispatched to the 200 block of N. Upton for a suspicious vehicle outside the church. Officer contacted subject and was advised she cleans on weekends.

Traffic Stops

On March 24, Officer MD Krenek stopped a vehicle in the 800 block of S. Kessler for an equipment violation. Driver issued a citation for failure to provide proof of financial responsibility.

On March 25, Krenek stopped a driver in the 200 block of Summit for an equipment violation. Driver issued a warning.

On March 25, Castilleja stopped a driver in the 100 block of Kessler for speeding. A warning was issued.

On March 27, Whited stopped a driver in the 500 block of Summit for an expired registration (8-23) Driver was given a warning for expired registration and a citation for failure to change address.

On March 27, Whited stopped a driver in the 500 block of W. Summit for an expired registration (7-22) A citation was given.

On March 27, Whited stopped a driver in the 500 block of W. Summit for expired registration (9-23) and she had no insurance. Citations were issued for both.

On March 28, Krenek stopped a driver in the 800 block of S. Kessler for speeding. Driver was issued a citation.

On March 28, Krenek stopped a driver in the 700 block of N. Kessler for expired registration. Driver issued a citation for no insurance and a warning for registration.
