Schulenburg Police Report
Schulenburg Police Chief Troy Brenek reports on the following incidents his department responded to during the week of March 17-23.
Agency Assist
On March 22, Sgt. Tobey McFadden responded to the 600 block of Upton for a subject at the police department who was allergic to bees and had been stung by a bee. Mc-Fadden stayed on scene until EMS arrived and began treatment. Animal Complaint
On March 19, Officer James Whited was dispatched to the 800 block of North for goats out. Officer arrived and placed goats back in fence.
On March 20, Code enforcement animal control officer Gina Harden responded to the 100 block of West for loose goats.
On March 20, Harden responded back to the 100 block of West for goats out. Goat owner was advised of things he needs to do to keep the goats in and getting the fence fixed. If the fence is not fixed by the deadline put in place, a nuisance order would be served.
On March 22, McFadden contacted family members to advise they need to put up loose goats in the 700 block of North Street.
On March 23, Whited was dispatched to the 100 block of Hummingbird regarding a loose dog with no tags or collar. Officer took dog to the shelter.
Disturbance
On March 22, McFadden was dispatched to the 1000 block of Huser for a disturbance between an employee who was terminated and the boss. The disturbance was verbal only and officer waited on scene until the terminated employee left.
Reckless Driving
On March 17, Vincent was notified by a woman about a F-250 truck whose driver may be intoxicated. The woman advised she followed behind him for about 10 miles and then she lost sight of him. Dispatch put out a bolo for the driver.
Suspicious Person/Vehicle On March 21, Vincent responded to the 800 block of Wolf about a suspicious black male in a tan vehicle coming to her house. She requested the officer patrol the area.
On March 22, Vincent observed a vehicle go into a parking lot in the 57 block of N. Kessler and dump trash.
Traffic Stop
On March 18, Officer Byron Powe stopped a driver in the 600 block of W. I-10 for operating an unregistered motor vehicle. Consent to search was conducted and paraphernalia located and destroyed. Driver received warnings for operating an unregistered motor vehicle and expired driver’s license and driving while license invalid.
On March 19, Whited stopped a driver in the 100 block of Kessler for speeding and issued a warning.
On March 19, Powe stopped a driver in the 600 block of W. I-10 for an unregistered motor vehicle (8-22) Driver received a warning.
OnMarch20,Powestopped driver in the 600 block of W. I-10 for speeding going 83 in a 75. Driver received a warning.
On March 20-Officer Juan Castilleja stopped a driver in the 1000 block of Kessler for a vehicle speeding. A warning was issued.
On March 21, Vincent stopped a driver in the 700 block of Summit for driving without lights when required. Driver turned lights on. Driver was advised to change his address and had 30 days to do so, a warning was issued.
On March 22, Krenek stopped a vehicle in the 800 block of S. Kessler for speeding, a warning was issued.
Traffic Hazard
On March 20, Vincent was advised of an 18-wheeler whose trailer was sparking while driving down I-10.
