Schulenburg Police Report
Schulenburg Police Report Chief Troy Brenek reports on the following incidents his department responded to during the week of Feb. 25 through March 2.
Animal Complaint
On March 2, Officer Juan Castilleja was dispatched to the 300 block of Klesel for a loose dog.
Civil Matter
On Feb. 25, Officer MD Krenek spoke with complainant on the phone regarding child custody exchange.
Dog Bite
On Feb. 27, Officer Hailee Vincent took report of a dog bite that occurred in the 800 block of S. Main.
Disturbance
On Feb. 29, Officer James Whited was dispatched to the 1100 block of JA Green Street for a disturbance.
Prowler
On March 1, Krenek was dispatched to the 700 block of Black for the report of a prowler.
Suspicious Person
On March 2, Vincent responded to the 100 block of East Avenue for a man walking in the middle of the road.
Traffic Stop
On Feb. 25, Krenek stopped a driver in the 800 block of S. Kessler for speeding. The driver was argumentative and refused to sign the citation. Sgt. McFadden was called and after speaking with McFadden driver signed the citation and left.
On Feb. 25, Officer Byron Powe stopped a driver for speeding in the 600 block of W. I-10 going 92 in a 75. A citation was issued.
On Feb. 25, Powe stopped a driver for speeding int he 600 block of W. I-10 going 87 in a 75. Driver received a warning for speeding and citation for expired registration (6-23) and a citation for no insurance.
On Feb. 25, Powe stopped a driver in the 600 block of W. I-10 for speeding going 90 in a 75. Driver received a citation for speeding.
On Feb. 26, Powe stopped a driver in the 600 block of W. I-10 with no taillights when required. Warning for no taillights and citations issued for no driver’s license and no insurance and unauthorized reproduction of temporary tag.
On Feb. 26, Powe stopped a driver in the 600 block of W. I-10 for speeding going 91 in a 75. Driver received a citation.
On Feb. 26, Powe stopped a driver in the 600 block of W. I-10 for defective taillight. Warning for taillight issued and citation for no driver’s license.
On Feb. 26, Powe stopped a driver in the 600 block of Kessler for speeding going 50 in a 35. Driver received a citation.
On March 2, Vincent stopped a driver in the 800 block of Lyons for disregarding a stop sign. Driver had a 9mm Ruger in the glove box and no contraband was found. Citation was issued for driving while license invalid.
