Schulenburg Police Chief Troy Brenek reports on the following incidents his department responded to during the week of On Feb. 4-10.
Assault
On Feb. 9, Officer Byron Powe responded to the 600 lock of Wolters Avenue where caller advised she had been assaulted by her boyfriend.
Accident
On Feb. 5, Officer MD Krenek was dispatched o the 700 block of N. Kessler regarding two 18 wheelers bumping each other, one of the drivers had left the scene.
Animal Complaint
On Feb. 5, Animal Control Officer Gina Harden was dispatched to the 1000 block of Baumgarten regarding a lost dog.
On Feb. 5, Harden responded to the 500 block of West regarding a pregnant female cat.
On Feb. 5, Krenek was dispatched to the 65 block of Kessler for a Pitbull dog running at large in the RV park and was not friendly to other residents’ dogs on the property. The dog was taken to the city kennel.
On Feb. 9, Sgt. Tobey Mc-Fadden was dispatched to the 300 block of Klesel regarding a barking dog.
On Feb. 9, Krenek was dispatched to the 300 block of Klesel for a barking dog. Officer could not locate a barking dog.
Agency Asst.
On Feb. 9, McFadden responded to the 1000 block of FM 1579 to assist county with a disturbance between a mother and son.
Disturbance
Fe. 6, Officer James Whited responded to the 500 block of Wolf for a disturbance.
Suspicious Person/Vehicle On Feb. 4, Officer Hailee Vincent responded to the 700 block of N. Kessler for suspicious men behind complainant’s vehicle.
On Feb. 4, Vincent was dispatched to the 40 block of N. Kessler for individual recording several girls inside the business. Officer met with the individual and looked at the video on his phone and did not show anything revealing and was then destroyed on individual’s phone.
Traffic Stop
On Feb. 5, Officer Byron Powe stopped a driver in the 600 block of E. I-10 with no license plate. Driver received a warning for operating a vehicle with no license plate and two citations for unrestrained child.
On Feb. 5, Whited stopped a driver in the 400 Block of Black Street for driving 38 in a school zone posted at 25 mph. Driver received a citation.
On Feb. 5, Powe stopped a driver in the 600 block of E. I-10 for a defective headlight. Driver received a warning for headlight and a citation for no insurance.
On Feb. 5, Powe stopped a driver in the 600 block of E., I0 for a defective headlight. Driver received a warning for a defective headlight and a citation for no insurance.
On Feb. 6, Powe stopped a driver in the 600 block of W. I-10 for no taillights. Driver received a warning for driving with no taillights and citations for failure to display driver’s license and expired registration (10-23) On Feb. 6, Powe stopped a driver in the 600 block of W. I-10 for speeding going 93 in a 75. Driver received a warning for speeding.
On Feb. 7, Powe stopped a driver in the 600 block of E. I-0 for an expired registration (5-23) Driver received a warning for expired registration and citations for no driver’s license and operating a vehicle with unapproved sun screening device.
On Feb. 8, Krenek stopped a driver in the 800 block of S. Kessler for speeding in a school zone. Driver issued a citation for speeding in a school zone and no driver’s license. Passenger had a valid driver’s license and vehicle was released to her.
On Feb. 9, Powe stopped a driver in the 600 block of W. I-10 for speeding going 88 in a 75. Driver received a citation.
On Feb. 9, Powe stopped a driver in the 600 block of E. I-10 for speeding and no driver’s license.
On Feb. 10, Powe stopped a driver in the 600 block of W. I-10 for speeding going 84 in a 75. Driver received a warning for operating an unregistered motor vehicle and speeding and a citation for no insurance.
On Feb. 10, Powe stopped a driver in the 600 block of E. I-10 for going 95 in a 75. Driver received a citation for speeding.
On Feb. 10, Powe stopped a driver in the 600 block of W. I-10 for expired registration (723) Driver received a warning.
On Feb. 10, Powe stopped a driver in the 600 block of E. I-10 for failure to drive in a single lane. Driver received a warning and a citation for no driver’s license.
On Feb. 10, Powe stopped a driver in the 600 block of E. I, I0 for a defective headlight. Driver received a citation for an expired registration.
Warrant Arrest
On Feb. 5, Powe stopped a driver for speeding in the 600 block of W. I-10 for speeding 80 in a 75. Driver arrested on an outstanding warrant.
On Feb. 5, Powe stopped a driver in the 600 block of E. I-I0 for a defective headlight. Driver received a warning for a defective headlight and a citation for no insurance.
