Schulenburg Police Report
Schulenburg Police Chief Troy Brenek reports on the following incidents his department responded to during the week of Dec. 31 through Jan. 6.
Accident
On Jan. 1, Officer MD Krenek was dispatched to the alley behind Singlemans Hall in the 500 block of N. Main for a two-vehicle accident on private property. A blue form was issued.
Animal Complaint
On Jan. 2, Code Enforcement Officer and Animal control officer Gina Harden was dispatched to the 1200 block of Summit for two dogs at the address in an 8x8 kennel with no shelter available from the weather. Officer spoke with the owner of the dogs as well as her son in Victoria. Harden advised the son of the rules and regulations in Schulenburg.
Agency Assist
On Jan. 2, Officer Hailee Vincent assisted the Fayette County Sheriff’s Officer with a naked woman in the roadway. EMS checked the vitals and the female refused treatment.
Civil Matter
On Dec. 31, Officer Byron Powe responded to the 400 block of St. John for a civil matter.
On Dec. 31, Krenek was dispatched to the 600 block of Upton regarding a child custody exchange issue.
On Jan. 3, Krenek responded to the 600 block of Upton in regard to a child custody exchange.
Disturbance
On Jan. 4, Powe responded to the 900 block of Baumgarten where caller advised her mom and moms boyfriend were fighting. Officer arrived and spoke with both parties. Female and three children were provided with a voucher for a hotel.
On Jan. 6, Officer Hailee Vincent was dispatched to the 100 block of Cardinal for a verbal disturbance.
Suspicious Person
On Jan. 1, Vincent checked out a subject at the library in the 300 block of Simpson.
On Jan. 2, Officer Juan Castilleja was dispatched to the 100 block of Upton in reference to a suspicious person knocking on the front door of the residence.
Traffic Stop
On Dec. 31, Krenek stopped a driver in the 300 block of Kessler for driving without headlights when required. Driver was issued a warning and a citation for no driver’s license.
On Jan. 3, Powe stopped a driver in the 600 block of W. I-10 for an unregistered motor vehicle. Driver received a warning for operating an unregistered motor vehicle and no driver’s license.
On Jan. 3, Powe stopped a driver in the 600 block of E. I-10 for failure to drive in a single lane and expired driver’s license.
On Jan. 3, Powe stopped a driver in the 600 block of E. I-10 for an expired registration (10-23) Driver received warnings for expired registration and expired driver’s license.
On Jan. 3, Powe stopped a driver in the 600 block of E. I-10 for displaying the wrong license plate search conducted and marijuana and paraphernalia located and disposed of. Driver received citations for two counts of unrestrained child and expired registration.
On Jan. 3, Powe stopped a driver for speeding 95 in a 75 in the 600 block of E. I-10. Driver received a citation.
On Jan. 3, Powe stopped a driver in the 600 block of E. I-10 for expired registration (11-23) .
On Jan. 4, Powe stopped a driver in the 700 block of N. Kessler for turning right from wrong lane. Driver received a warning and a citation for no insurance.
On Jan. 4, Powe stopped a driver in the 600 block of E. I-10 for improperly secured temporary tag. Driver received a warning and citations for wrong license plate and unauthorized reproduction purchase use of sale of temporary tag.
On Jan. 6, Vincent stopped a driver in the 100 block of Kessler for speeding going 45 in a 35. Citation issued.
