Police Report
Schulenburg Police Chief Troy Brenek reports on the following incidents his department responded to during the week of Oct. 22-28.
Assault
On Oct. 22, Officer Byron Powe spoke with a caller that advised she was assaulted by her boyfriend.
Accident
On Oct. 22, Officer Jeffrey Whited responded to the 11 block of N. Kessler for a minor traffic accident.
On Oct. 25, Whited responded to the 400 block of Summit for a minor accident. One driver was cited for failure to yield right of way and no insurance.
Animal Complaint
On Oct. 24, Officer Juan Castilleja was dispatched to the intersection of Wolf and Bohlmann in reference to an animal complaint about dogs chasing after her kids. Officer upon arrival was unable to locate any dogs.
Civil Matter
On Oct. 22, Whited responded to the 700 block of N. Kessler for a civil matter.
Disturbance
On Oct. 27, Office Hailee Vincent responded to the 700 block of N. Kessler for a disturbance, a criminal trespass warning was issued.
On Oct. 27, Vincent was dispatched to the 900 block of James Avenue for a disturbance. The parties were separated. Possession
On Oct. 25, Powe stopped a driver in the 500 block of Wolf Street for operating a vehicle without plates. Driver was arrested.
Suspicious Vehicle/Person
On Oct. 28, Vincent responded to the 500 block of
Summit for a person talking on a phone and all was fine.
Traffic Stop
On Oct. 22, Whited stopped a driver in the 700 block of Kessler for going 72 in a 55.
On Oct. 25, Powe stopped a driver in the 300 block of Kessler for running a red light in a school zone, a citation was issued.
On Oct. 26, Powe stopped a driver in the 600 block of I-10 for expired registration (2-23) Driver received a warning.
On Oct. 26, Whited stopped a driver in the 1800 block of S. Kessler for going 85 in a 55. Driver issued a citation.
On Oct. 28, Castilleja stopped a driver in the 10 block of Kessler for vehicle driving without headlight when required. Driver issued a warning.
Welfare Check
On Oct. 26, Whited was dispatched to the 110 block of August for a welfare check on a child.
