Schulenburg Police Report
Schulenburg Police Chief Troy Brenek reports on the following incidents his department responded to during the week of July 16-22: Animal Complaint
On July 20, Code Enforcement Officer and Animal Control Gina Harden received a call about a peacock running around the houses in the 200 block of August.
Agency Assist
On July 17, Officer Juan Castilleja assisted at the intersection of I-10 and Hwy. 90 for a two-vehicle accident.
On July 17, Castilleja along with Officer Hailee Vincent and Sgt. Rusty Roggenkamp assisted with traffic control on Schultz and Eilers for a structure fire.
Burglary
On July 17, Sgt. Tobey McFadden was dispatched to the 200 block of Simpson for a burglary.
Criminal Trespass
On July 20, Officer MD Krenek was dispatched to the 300 block of Summit in regard to a criminal trespass.
On July 20, Krenek responded to the 200 block of W I-10 frontage in regard to a customer not checking out at the appropriate time.
Disturbance
On July 16, McFadden was dispatched to the 1000 block of Eilers for a verbal disturbance.
Traffic Stop
On July 16, Krenek stopped a driver in the 800 block of S. Kessler for a speed violation. Driver was issued a warning.

On July 16, Krenek stopped a driver at James and Summit for disregarding a stop sign. Driver issued a warning.
On July 19, Officer Byron Powe stopped a driver in the 600 block of E. I-10 for speeding going 85 in a 75.
On July 19, Powe stopped a driver in the 600 block of W. I-10 for speeding going 84 in a 75. Driver received citations for speeding and no drivers license.
On July 20, Powe stopped a driver in the 700 block of N. Kessler for failure to signal lane change. Driver received a warning for failure to signal lane change and a citation for no insurance.
On July 20, Powe stopped a driver in the 700 Block of N. Kessler for driving without lights when required. Search was conducted and a small amount of marijuana was located and destroyed on scene and driver received a warning.
On July 21, Castilleja stopped a driver in the 700 block of Kessler for speeding.
Welfare Check
On July 20, Krenek responded to the 200 block of Baumgarten for a welfare check. Upon officer’s arrival medics were on scene. Patient’s electricity had been shut off and was upset. EMS transported patient to St. Mark’s Medical Center.
