Police Report
Schulenburg Police Chief Troy Brenek reports on the following incidents his department responded to during the week of July 9-14.
Civil Matter
On July 11, Officer MD Krenek responded to the 100 block of Hummingbird for a civil standby.
Dog Bite
On July 13, Sgt. Rusty Roggenkamp was contacted by St. Mark’s hospital in reference to subject bitten by a dog at Wolters Park. Subject was advised to contact police to find the location of the dog.
Forgery
On July 14, Krenek was dispatched to the 100 block of Kessler in regard to forging and altering a prescription.
Traffic Stop
On July 9, Officer Hailee Vincent stopped a driver in the 500 block of Kessler for defective tail lamp. Citation was issued for expired registration and no insurance.
On July 10, Krenek stopped a driver in the 500 block of West Avenue for disregarding a stop sign at James Avenue and Summit. Driver received a warning for the violation but was arrested for an outstanding warrant out of Hays County.
On July 11, Sgt. Tobey McFadden received a call about a reckless driver in the 25 block of N. Kessler. Officer located vehicle leaving the Texan parking lot and license plate was not visible from 50 feet. Upon traffic stop officer discovered two children were unrestrained in the back seat. A citation was issued for failure to secure child in safety seat and a warning for defective required equipment and expired registration.
On July 11, McFadden stopped a driver in the 700 block of Kessler for license plate not being visible from 50 feet. A warning was issued.
On July 12, McFadden stopped a driver in the 1100 block of Eilers for a defective headlamp. A warning was issued.
On July 12, Officer Juan Castilleja stopped a driver in the 400 block of Summit for disregarding a red light. A warning was issued.
On July 12, McFadden stopped a driver in the 1100 block of Eilers for disregarding a stop sign. Warning was issued.
On July 12, McFadden stopped a driver at Shultz and Eilers for disregarding the stop sign. A warning was issued.
Miscellaneous
On July 11, Krenek assisted EMS with a fall victim outside Wells Fargo in the 700 block of Lyons. The elderly female patient was transported to the Columbus Community Hospital.
On July 14, Krenek was dispatched to the 700 block of N. Kessler in regard to a road rage incident that occurred on Interstate 10.
