Schulenburg Police Chief Troy Brenek reports on the following incidents his department responded to during the week of Oct. 9-15.

Criminal Trespass

On Oct. 12, Officer M.D. Krenek along with Sgt. Tobey McFadden and Officer Byron Powe responded to the 100 block of Huser Blvd. in regards to guests causing a disturbance. Both parties were issued criminal trespass warnings.

Forgery

On Oct. 11, Officer Chris Kalina responded to the 600 block of Upton for a report of a fraud via a skimmer.

Traffic Stop

On Oct. 9, Powe stopped a driver for expired registration in the 700 block of N. Kessler. Driver was arrested for possession.

On Oct. 10, Powe stopped a vehicle in the 25 block of N. Kessler for expired registration. Driver received a citation for no drivers’ license. On Oct. 10, Officer Juan Castilleja stopped a vehicle in the 100 block of Kessler for a vehicle speeding in a school zone. Citation was issued. On Oct. 10, Castilleja stopped a vehicle in the 100 block of Kessler for speeding in a school zone. A citation was issued.

On Oct. 12, Officer Frank Parkinson stopped a driver in the 100 block of Kessler for going 35 in a 25 in a school zone. On Oct. 12, Parkinson stopped a vehicle at Lyons and N. Main for running a stop sign. A citation was issued. On Oct. 12, Parkinson stopped a driver in the 100 block of Kessler for going 34 in a 25mph school zone. On Oct. 12, Parkinson stopped a vehicle in the 100 block of Kessler for going 38 in a 25 in a school zone. On Oct. 12, Parkinson stopped a vehicle in the 100 block of Kessler for going 35 in a 25 in a school zone. On Oct. 12, Parkinson stopped a driver in the 100 block of Kessler for going 41 in a 25 mph school zone. On Oct. 13, McFadden stopped a driver in the 25 block of N. Kessler for failure to signal lane change. A warning was issued.

On Oct. 13, Powe stopped a vehicle in the 600 block of W. I-10 for speeding going 90 in a 75. Driver received a citation.

On Oct. 13, Powe stopped a driver in the 600 block of E. I-10 for speeding going 91 in a 75. Driver was arrested for multiple narcotic offenses and money laundering. On Oct. 13, Parkinson stopped a driver in the 100 block of Kessler for going 38 in a 25 school zone. On Oct. 13, Parkinson stopped a driver in the 100 block of Kessler for going 36 in a 25 mph school zone. On Oct. 13, Parkinson stopped a vehicle in the 100 block of Kessler for going 41 in a 25 mph school zone.

On Oct. 13, Parkinson stopped a driver in the 1000 block of Kessler for going 38 in a 25 mph school zone. Officer noted driver was issued a citation on September 1 for the same violation.

On Oct. 13, Powe stopped a driver in the 600 block of E. I-10 for speeding going 85 in a 75.

On Oct. 13, Powe stopped a vehicle in the 300 block of Kessler for an expired registration from 8-21. Driver received a citation for no insurance.

On Oct. 13, Powe stopped a vehicle in the 600 block of E. I-10 for speeding. Driver received citations for speeding going 85 in a 75 and expired registration 6-22. On Oct. 13, Krenek stopped a vehicle in the 100 block of Kessler for speeding in a school zone. On Oct. 13, Krenek stopped a driver in the 100 block of N. Kessler for speeding in a school zone. Driver issued a citation.

On Oct. 14, Castilleja stopped a driver in the 14 block of N. Kessler for driving without headlights when required. A warning was issued. On Oct. 14, Castilleja stopped a vehicle in the 800 block of Kessler for obscured license plate. A warning was issued.
