Schulenburg Police Chief Trop Brenek reports on the following incidents his department responded to during the week of On Sept. 18-24.

Agency Assist

On Sept. 23, Officer Hailee Vincent assisted DPS with a roll over accident just north of the city limits in 1200 block of N. Kessler.

Animal Complaint

Sept. 18, Vincent responded to the intersection of Simpson and Herder for two loose dogs and needed them to be picked up. Dogs were taken to shelter and given food and then returned to owners.

On Sept. 18, Vincent responded to the 1100 block of James for a black and white pit bull that killed her cat. Officer attempted to locate the pit pull but was unable to locate. On Sept. 19, Officer Juan Castilleja was dispatched to the 900 block of Lyons in reference to an animal complaint. Officer transported the dogs to the animal shelter.

Civil Matter

On Sept. 23, Officer Byron Powe responded to the 300 block of August for paint overspray getting onto vehicle.

On Sept. 24, Sgt. Tobey Mc-Fadden responded to the 1100 block of Summit for a civil matter.

Criminal Trespassing

On Sept. 23, McFadden responded to the 25 block of Kessler where the manger at the Texan who wanted to issue a criminal trespass warning to a customer.

Disturbance

On Sept. 22, Vincent responded to the 700 block of N. Kessler for a disturbance at Pilot with a truck driver and the customer did not want to lave the store. Gone upon officers arrival.

Suspicious Person/Vehicle

On Sept. 18, Vincent observed an individual lying in the grass naked in the 1100 block of James under a tarp. Individual was under the influence of something and he was transported by EMS to St. Mark’s Hospital. On Sept. 19, Castilleja responded to the 100 block of Huser Blvd. for a suspicious person. On Sept. 20, Officer Frank Parkinson responded to the 300 block of Simpson for a vehicle that had been parked at the library for four days. Vehicle came back clean and officer advised complainant to have it towed since there is nothing we can do about a vehicle in a private parking lot.

Traffic Stop

On Sept. 18, Officer Jacob Mills observed a driver stopping at stop sign at Wolters and Summit failed to signal for turn. Driver was given a warning.

On Sept.18, Mills stopped a vehicle in the 600 block of Kessler for speeding going 46 in a 30 mph zone. Driver issued a ticket for speeding and warning for expired registration (July 22) On Sept. 18, Mills was patrolling Kessler Avenue and observed a red in color Chevrolet displaying expired registration. Conducted a stop and driver received citation for expired reg-istration and unable to provide proof of insurance. A verbal warning was also given for failure to report change of address.

On Sept. 18, Mills stopped a vehicle for speeding in the 600 block of Kessler. Officer advised the driver was driving at such a high rate of speed it was approximately ¼ to ½ mile before catching up with driver. Driver advised he was in a hurry and a citation was issued for speeding.

On Sept. 19, Powe stopped a vehicle in the 600 block of I-10 for expired registration (4-20). Driver received a citation.

On Sept. 20, Powe stopped a vehicle in the 25 block of Kessler for no front license plate. Driver received a warning.

On Sept. 19 Castilleja stopped a vehicle in the 100 block of Kessler for speeding. Driver issued a warning for speeding Driver advised it was medical emergency for his wife.

On Sept. 20, Parkinson stopped a driver in the 100 block of Kessler for speeding in school zone going 40 in a 25. Citation was issued.

On Sept. 20, Parkinson stopped a vehicle in the 100 block of Kessler for speeding in school zone. Citation issued.

On Sept. 20, Powe stopped a vehicle in the 600 block of I-10 for speeding going 85 in 75. Warning was issued.

On Sept. 20, Powe stopped a vehicle for speeding in the 600 block of I-10 driver was issued a warning.

On Sept. 20, Powe stopped a vehicle in the 600 block of I-10 for no license plate lights. Driver received a citation for expired drivers license.

On Sept. 20, Powe stopped a vehicle in the 600 block of I-10 for an unclean license plate. Driver received a warning.

On Sept. 20, Powe stopped vehicle in the 600 block of I-10 for expired registration. Driver received a citation (Dec 21) On Sept. 20, Powe stopped a vehicle for speeding in the 600 block of I-10. Driver received a warning.

On Sept. 20, Powe stopped a vehicle for speeding in the 600 block of I-10 going 89 in a 75. Driver received a warning.

On Sept. 21, Powe stopped a vehicle for speeding in the 600 block of I-10 going 92 in a 75. Driver received a citation.

On Sept. 21, owe stopped a vehicle in the 600 block of I-10 for failure to drive in a single lane. Driver received a citation for no drivers’ license and no insurance.

On Sept. 21, Powe stopped a driver in the 25 block of N. Kessler for defective brake light. Driver issued a citation for no drivers’ license.

On Sept. 21, Powe stopped a vehicle in the 25 block of N. Kessler for no front license plate. Probable cause search conducted and a small amount of marijuana found and destroyed on scene and driver received a warning for no front license plate. On Sept. 21, Officer Chris Kalina stopped a vehicle in the 100 block of N. Kessler for use of a wireless communication. Driver issued a warning. On Sept. 23, Parkinson stopped a vehicle for speeding in a school zone going 34 in a 25. Driver issued a citation for no insurance. On Sept. 23, Parkinson stopped a vehicle in the 100 block of Kessler for speeding in a school zone. Driver was going 41 in a 25. Citation issued. On Sept. 23, Parkinson stopped a vehicle in the 100 block of Kessler for speeding in a school zone. Going 34 in a 25. Citation issued. On Sept. 23, Parkinson stopped a vehicle in the 100 block of Kessler for speeding in a school zone going 37 in a 25. Citation issued. On Sept. 23, Castilleja stopped a vehicle in the 100 block of Kessler for speeding in a school zone. On Sept. 23, Powe stopped a vehicle in the 600 block of I-10 for failure to dim headlights when following. Driver received warning. On Sept. 24, Powe stopped a vehicle for speeding in the 600 block of I-10 going 80 in a 75.

On Sept. 23, Powe stopped a vehicle in the 600 block of I-10 for failure to signal lane change and speeding going 100 in a 75. Driver received citation for speeding and failure to signal lane change. On Sept. 23, Powe stopped a vehicle in the 600-block of I-10 for expired registration (Aug 21) Driver received a warning. On Sept. 23, Powe stopped vehicle for running a red light in the 500 block of Kessler. The driver issued a citation. On Sept. 24, Powe stopped a vehicle in the 600 block of I-10 for no license plate lights. Driver received a warning. On Sept. 24, Powe stopped a vehicle in the 100 block of Kessler for speeding going 49 in a 35. Driver received citations for speeding and no drivers’ license.

On Sept. 24, Powe stopped a vehicle in the 100 block of Kessler for speeding going 44 in a 35. A search conducted due to an open container. Driver received citation for no drivers’ license. On Sept. 24, Powe stopped a vehicle in the 700 lock of Kessler for defective tail lamp. Driver received citation for no drivers’ license. On Sept. 24, Powe stopped a vehicle in the 600 block of I-10 for expired registration (7-22) probable cause search conducted and paraphernalia located and destroyed on scene. Driver received citations for no drivers’ license and no insurance. On Sept. 24, Powe stopped a vehicle for speeding in the 100 block of Kessler. Driver received a citation for going 60 in a 35.
