Schulenburg Police Activity Report: Jan. 11-16
Schulenburg Police Chief Troy Brenek reports on the following incidents his department responded to during the week of Jan. 11-16.
Animal Complaint
On Jan. 13, Animal Control Officer Gina Harden received a call from the 1000 block of Baumgarten regarding neighbor’s dog getting into her chicken coop.
Civil Matter
On Jan. 15, Officer James Whited responded to the 100 block of Shorthorn for a civil matter.
Traffic Stops
On Jan. 12, Officer Hailee Vincent stopped a driver in the 100 block of Kessler for running a red light. Citation was issued.
On Jan. 12, Vincent stopped a driver in the 100 block of Kessler for tuning left from the right lane. Driver was issued a citation for failing to change address and was advised they could do it online.
On Jan. 14, Officer Byron Powe stopped a driver in the 700 block of Wolf for a defective right brake light. Driver received a warning for brake light and a citation for no insurance.
On Jan. 14, Powe stopped a driver for speeding in a school zone in the 100 block of N. Kessler. Driver received a citation.
On Jan. 15, Powe stopped a driver in the 600 block of W. I-10 for no front license plate. Driver received a warning.
On Jan. 15, Powe stopped a driver in the 600 block of W. I-10 for no front license plate and expired registration (7-25) Driver received a warning for both offenses.
On Jan. 15, Powe stopped a driver in the 100 block of N. Kessler for speeding in a school zone. Driver received a citation.
On Jan. 15, Powe stopped a driver in the 600 block of W. I-10 for operating an unregistered motor vehicle (2-24) Driver received a warning.
On Jan. 15, Powe stopped a driver in the 100 block of N. Kessler for speeding in a school zone. Driver received a citation.
On Jan. 15, Officer MD Krenek was called to the 300 block of Bucek for a welfare check.
Miscellaneous
On Jan. 11, Whited was dispatched to the 25 block of N. Kessler regarding a vehicle pulling a trailer with a car on it parked in the handicap parking and blocking multiple spaces. Before arriving on scene, the vehicle left. The employee of the Texan advised the vehicle blocked several handicap parking spaces at the front entrance and when he was asked to move, he refused.
