The Pride Of Schulneburg Marching Band traveled to Brenham on Saturday, Oct. 8 to compete at the 47th annual Blinn Marching Festival. Schulenburg had a great showing in prelims receiving the Outstanding soloist award and advanced to Finals, the band also had a clinic with judges. Schulenburg was the only 2A Band in finals and held their own against 3A-6A high schools. In finals their scores improved a whole rating. This coming Saturday is the UIL Region Marching Contest, where the band will be working to advance to the UIL Area Contest. Right: Drum Set Soloist Sophomore Edgar Mandujano won the Outstanding Soloist tropy during the Saturdays competition. Saturday, Oct. 1 The Pride of Schulenburg Marching Band competed at the Seguin Marching Festival and received 2nd place in class 2A and scored higher than all of the bands in Class 3A as well. Congrats to all the students and Directors, Mr. Bartlett and Mr. Weirich for all the hard work.
