Schulenburg Champion Steer Sells for $15,750
Cold weather on Saturday forced organizers of the Schulenburg Junior Livestock Show to push up the sale time to earlier in the day. But it didn’t keep away supporters or their checkbooks. Keeley Warnken exhibited the Grand Champion Steer. They’re pictured above in the sale ring on Saturday. The 1,270 lb. steer sold for $15,750 at auction. That’s a big bump compared to last year, when the top steer sold for $12,000. Look for more results from the stock show, including buyers, in an upcoming edition of the Record.
