Save The Faison House Auction Social Lineup Set
Bid on Lunch With Local ‘Celebrities’
The Faison Preservation Society proudly announces its lineup for the Save The Faison House Auction Social on Sunday, November 13, 2022, from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Historic Casino Hall, 254 N. Jefferson, La Grange, Texas. Admission is free. Light refreshments will be served.
“We have a great lineup of celebrities ready to have lunch with the highest bidder,” Katy Beauford, Secretary of the Faison Preservation Society, explained. “James Dick, Internationally Renowned Concert Pianist; Jan Dockery, La Grange Mayor; Jeff Wick, Fayette County Record Editor; Babette Fraser Hale, Writer and Columnist; Craig Moreau, Emergency Management Chief; the Fayette County Elections Administration Team; Weldon Koenig, Retired Rear Admiral; Ed and Margie Janecka, Authors of Dubina; Colonel William Bailey, MD, Retired Air Force Commander and Cardiologist; and Dr. James Tiemann, Retired Vet have graciously volunteered their time to support the house.”
Lunch spots include Red Vault Bistro. Ere’s Italian Restaurant and Pizzeria, Bodega, Back Porch BBQ and Grill, The Garden Co. Marketplace & Cafe, Jay Dee’z Sports Grill, Reba’s, Murphy’s Steak House, Duo by Gino & Nate, and Tillie’s Cafe. Additionally, La Grange Brewing Company is supporting the event.
Bidding for celebrity lunches as well as fun activities will be overseen by Lee Fritsch. The activities include Gardening Session (two hours) with Andy Behlen, Fayette County Record; Personal Tour of New Dubina “western town” used for movie sets; Float the River with Camp Kubena for two; Trail of Lights Season Passes for Four; Dinner Gift Certificate from The Wine Bar at The Grand Fayette Hotel; Cooking Class At Le Petite Gourmet Shoppe with Chef Mike for two; Ride a Float in the Schmeckenfest Parade for two; Tea Party for maximum of 12 at the Faison House; Movie, Pizza, and Ice Cream Lyric Theater; and a Bugle Boy gift certificate for two with the choice of three shows in Jan. and Feb. 2023 and $20 from the galley.

The house, at 822 South Jefferson in La Grange is open to the public Saturdays from noon to four and by special request. Admission is free.
