Rural Nonprofit Networking Group to Discuss Risk Management Oct. 11
The Rural Nonprofit Networking Group (RNNG) is excited to invite all nonprofit staff and volunteers to join their next gathering which will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 11 from 10-11 a.m. RNNG creates opportunities for the organizations that do so much good in our rural communities to share their missions and visions, discuss community needs and partnership opportunities, bring in experts to facilitate growth and professionalism, and simply connect to maximize the efficiency and impact that participants can bring to Fayette, Colorado, Lavaca, and surrounding counties.
This month, the gathering will be hosted by Senior Connections, with a guest from Woodmen Life, and begins at 10 a.m. The gathering will be held at Blinn College, located at 100 Ranger Dr. in Schulenburg, Texas. Cindy Villarreal of Senior Connections and Nicole Voitle of Woodman Life will facilitate the discussion. The topic this month is “Risk Management for Your Nonprofit and Why You Need It.”
At Senior Connections, our mission is simple: to enhance the quality of life for senior citizens we serve. With this in mind, our objectives are to provide a safe environment where our elders can gather with their friends and neighbors. While at Senior Connections, social interaction is stressed and implemented. Many of our members also live alone and don’t relish the idea of cooking so they may resort to cheese and crackers, canned soups, and/or fast food,, none of which is the best for their health. So they come to Senior Connections for a warm, healthy, communal meal with familiar smiling faces and fun going on all around them. Senior Connections is a hub of information, a good meal, social interaction, and plain old fun for our elders when it comes right down to it.
The Rural Non-Profit Networking Group would like to invite all organizations interested in participating to attend, as well as there will be a virtual option.
