Round Top-Carmine baseball team plays at Richards April 11 at 6:30 p.m. They host Richards April 14 at 4:30 p.m. Check the www.rtcisd.net website for schedule updates.

April 14 is an early release day – at 12:30 p.m.

High school and Jr. High girls and boys participated in the Fayetteville Invitational Track Meet recently.

High school girls placed 4th overall. Results are as follows: 200 M Dash – Jill Eilers 1st and Daylin Pitts 4th; 100 M Dash – Egypt Woods 2nd, Tess Eilers 4th, and Daylin Pitts-9th; 400 M Run – Kennedy Flinn-4th; Jessica Rohde 7th, and Bayley Pitts 8th; 800 M Run – Bayley Pitts 6th, Hailey Johnson 7th, and Gretchen Sacks 10th; 1600 M Run Avery Nelius 4th and Maggie Salinas 5th; 3200 M Run Avery Nelius 2nd, Maggie Salinas 4th, and Kinsley Bage 10th; Long Jump – Egypt Woods 4th, Somerlin Coil 5th, and Makayla Smith 9th; Triple Jump – Somerlin Coil 5th; Jill Eilers 6th, and Mallory Krause 8th; 4x100 Relay 3rd; 4x200 Relay 4th; and 4x400 Relay 4th.

Results for the High School boys: Shot Put – Kannyn Goehring 6th; Discus Throw – Hunter Schoebel 8th; 100 M Dash – Hunter Schoebel 9th; 400 M Run – Kannyn Goehring 10th; and 200 M Dash – Tre’veon Fisher-5th.

Jr. High girls placed 3rd overall. The following are the results: Long Jump – Madison Markwardt 1st, Jaylen Bage 2nd, and Bree Dooley 5th; Triple Jump – Jaylen Bage 1st; Discus – Leah Soto 4th and Angelica Lebouef 7th; 100 M Hurdles – Hayden Kasmiersky 7th and Brooklyn Gold 10th; 300 M Hurdles – Hayden Kasmiersky 6th, Brooklyn Gold 8th, and Ava Matus-9th; 1600 M Run – Ava Matus 5th; 100 M Dash – Brooklyn Gold 9th; 200 M Dash – Bree Dooley 3rd; 400 M Dash – Juls Bellue 4th; 4x100 Relay – 4th; 4x200 Relay – 5th; and 4x400 Relay 4th.

Jr. High boys placed 6th overall. Results are as follows: Long Jump – Landon Sands 6th and Facundo Cerda 8th; Discus – Adrian Hernandez 7th; Shot Put – Adrian Hernandez 7th; 100 M Dash – Facundo Cerda 6th and Landon Sands 7th; 200 M Dash – Facundo Cerda 4th and Landon Sands 7th; 400 M Dash – Caden Tovey 10th; 800 M Dash – Caden Tovey 4th; and 4x100 Relay 5th.

Congratulations to students Avery Nelius and Cayden Sands for qualifying for the National Beta Club Convention. At the State Convention, Avery placed 2nd in Agriscience and Cayden placed 2nd in Science. Both are 9th graders.

The District 29A Tennis matches were held recently. In Boys’ Singles, 1st place went to Cayden Sands and 2nd to William Keng. In the Girls’ Singles, Kinsley Bage placed 2nd. In Girls’ Doubles, Maggie Salinas and Mallory Krause placed 1st and Jill & Tess Eilers placed 2nd. In Mixed Doubles’ 2nd place went to Kannyn Goehring and Kimberly Rohde, and 3rd place was won by Evan Blazek and Jessica Rohde. Regional Competition will be on April 11 in Bryan.

Blood Drive

A blood drive will be held Sunday, April 30 from 9:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Martin Luther Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall in conjunction with Bethlehem Lutheran Church of Round Top. It will be conducted by the Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center. You can make an appointment by contacting Khardin@giveblood. org or by logging into your established Digital Donor Account.

Carmine VFD

Carmine Volunteer Fire Department regular meeting is scheduled for April 27 at 7 p.m. Volunteers and interested persons are always welcome to attend.

Baby Care Kits

Baby Care Kits for Lutheran World Relief are being collected at MLLC. The following items are needed to complete 15 kits: Lightweight cotton T-shirts, hooded sweatshirts, sweaters, or jackets, socks, and a hand towel. Sizes are 6-24 months.

Meals on Wheels

Senior Citizens Meals on Wheels with Combined Community Action meet every Wednesday at Martin Luther Lutheran Church Mission and Ministry Building located at 250 Augsburg Ave., Carmine, TX 78932.

Come early to play dominoes and enjoy the camaraderie. Hours are 9-11:30 a.m.

Food usually arrives about 10 a.m. and is for pick-up only until 11:30 a.m. There are 5 meals in a box along with milk, dessert, and bread. Cost is a donation of $10, which makes it $2 per meal. It is for seniors age 60 and up.

Confirmation Class meets Wednesday from 4:15 – 6:45 p.m.

Rebekah Group meets Thursday at 2 p.m.

Saturday worship with Holy Communion is at 6 p.m.

Sunday worship with Holy Communion, observing the Second Sunday of Easter is at 10 a.m. Praise Team leads the songs and the Noisy Offering will be received. This year’s Noisy Offering is designated for the AMEN Food Pantry. The service will be on the mllccarmine.com website. The Rev. David Tinker is the pastor.

Domino party is Monday at 1 p.m.

Recycling Trailer

The recycling trailer is at the Carmine Hall on Thursdays from noon until 4 p.m.

The trailer is in Ledbetter from 8:30-11 a.m., also on Thursdays, behind the Ledbetter Fireman’s Hall.

Birthday wishes are extended to Tracy Pawlak-April 11; Kannon Jacob and Nicole Wright-14; and Tinley Woodruff- 16.
