The RT-C Education Foundation will sponsor their annual fundraiser “Small School, Big Hearts Celebration” on Saturday, Feb. 4 at the Round Top Rifle Hall. It will include dinner, catered by the Round Top Rifle Hall Association from 5-6 p.m. There will be a Silent Auction beginning the week before the Event and a Live Auction at the Celebration. There will also be games and a family dance party.
Over the last 10 years, the Foundation has been able to raise and present almost $1,000,000 to Round Top-Carmine school. Band, Music, and Art programs at both the Elementary campus in Round Top and the High School campus in Carmine have been funded by the Foundation. Chromebooks were purchased for every student to use, along with new technology such as interactive Whiteboards installed throughout the campuses.
RT-C school district has property values triggering a recapture by the State of Texas with $1,440,000 being recaptured this year. The district received “A” ratings, despite the challenges faced. This fall, over $15,000, in Teacher Grants, was awarded to equip classrooms with innovative materials that benefit students, from software and technology for the Elementary School to Culinary supplies, graphing calculators and Welding Certification supplies for the High School.
There are Event Sponsorships from $250 to $1,000 per table. Tickets may be purchased at local schools and banks or online.
