Round Top Family Library Hires Craig Moreau as New Executive Director

The Round Top Family Library is pleased to announce that Craig Moreau, has accepted the role of Executive Director for the Library.

The Round Top Family Library is considered a jewel in the community of Round Top and surrounding areas, providing programs and services to people of all ages and serving as a community activity center. Recognizing the growth occurring in the community and the expanding demand for the Library’s services, the Board of Directors of the Library launched a search for a new Executive Director late last year.

The Executive Director role is critical to the future success of the Library and the Board was looking for an Executive Director that will shepherd the Library’s continuing mission to provide library services, innovative educational programs and a welcoming community center for people of all ages.

“I am thrilled to be selected to lead an organization that has been so special to the life of our family and friends. The Round Top Family Library is a center for the community, a place where children learn to love reading, where families come to spend quality time and where our seniors have a place of belonging. The Round Top Family Library and www.ilovetoread.org will thrive as a hub of connected engagement for our region,” said Craig Moreau.

Craig, a resident in the Round Top area for 15 years, has served in a public servant capacity for over 20 years. He has extensive management experience while also possessing a passion for non-profit organizations. He chaired the Rural Philanthropy Day in November of 2022 and has been awarded the Daughters of the American Revolution Community Service Award, the Fire Department Meritorious Achievement Medal, and received recognition from Federal and State Congressional offices for his exceptional work in Fayette County during the COVID pandemic.

Craig is married to Jamie Moreau, Fayette County Justice of the Peace for Precinct 2, and has three wonderful daughters. Craig is an avid reader, instructor and speaker.

“We are excited that Craig has joined our Library Leadership team and look forward to Craig bringing his substantial background and expertise to the multiple services and programs the Library offers to the community,” said Board President Ed Ellis.

To answer the requests of the community, the Library also announces that it has expanded its hours of operation to now be open mornings beginning at 10 a.m. Tuesday through Friday. This change was initiated on Jan. 2.

The Round Top Family Library is a registered 501(c) (3) non-profit organization. It opened its doors in 2000 and its campus is comprised of three buildings situated in the heart of Round Top.
