Retired Teachers Participate in Statewide Virtual Delegates Conference

The Fayette County Retired Teachers Association was represented by delegates Peggy Halamicek, Terri Wagner, and Chris Morrison and District 13 1st Vice President Melanie Mica at the Virtual House of Delegates conference in San Marcos on March 25. Bill Wagner and Jaci Elliott attended as alternates. The Virtual House of Delegates provides the opportunity for districts across the state to communicate simultaneously through video conferencing to create and implement policy for TRTA. Statewide, delegates clarified wording in state by-laws and approved an increase in dues that will begin in the 2027-2028 membership year. Fayette County member Melanie Mica was re-elected to serve as District 13 Vice President for another two-year term.
