Record Number of 911 Calls Last Year

Sheriff Keith Korenek reports a drastic increase in the number of calls for service for the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office for the year of 2022.

The Sheriff’s Office Telecommunications Center receives and dispatches calls for the Sheriff’s Office, EMS Services, Fire Department Services, our three local Police Departments, as well as a number of other services. For the year of 2022, our Fayette County Dispatch handled approximately 18,565 calls for the year of 2022, an increase of 5,169 or roughly 38.6% from 2021.

Calls for service dispatched to Sheriff’s Office Deputies totaled 8,707 for an increase of 2,634 calls or roughly 43.4% over 2021.
