Record Breaking Plastic Prices Aid Recycling Center

It’s been another great year for the Fayette County recycling industry. The first three quarters have seen record breaking plastic prices because of sorting, the best in the history of the Fayette County program.

We applied for a $20,000 Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages Grant through Keep Texas Recycling and received a plastic’s baler, some recycling totes and a bunch of literature to be passed out when the Warrenton Expansion project is completed in the early part of 2023.

We are currently working to secure state funding for a possible project at the Fayetteville location. Both of these projects will allow us to be more cost effective and efficient with the needs of those areas (and save the Fayette County residents money).

Recycling in Fayette County has certainly changed since the start of the program in the 1990’s, if we don’t adapt to the ever changing times we will be phased out. We encourage you to visit the nearest center and to ask any questions you may have. This is your program and we are trying to meet your needs, however please keep in mind we only take sorted products of which we have an end outlet for.
