The AMEN Food Pantry will be open on Monday, Feb. 2 from 9 a.m. - noon and will also be open Thursday, Feb. 5 from 4:30-6 p.m.
The annual meeting of the Rutersville Cemetery Association will be on Thursday, Feb. 5 at 7 p.m. The meeting will be at the Rutersville Hermann Sons Lodge and all persons with loved ones buried at the cemetery are invited to attend.

Join for Adult Technology Training at the Fayette County Library in La Grange on Saturday, Feb. 7, from 10 a.m. noon. All computer questions are welcome. No one is born knowing this stuff. For the Record on Page A2 & A5 Round Top Family Library in partnership with Turtle Wing Foundation, presents Life and Independent Living Skills Workshop for ages 8 and up with instructors Katie Delgadillo and Stephanie Galvez, Feb. 7 from 10 a.m. - noon. Students will learn fun and helpful skills they can use every day. Through games, activities, and real-life practice, students will work on things like staying organized, working with others, making good choices, and solving problems. Fayette County Beekeepers Association
The Fayette County Beekeepers Association (FaycoBeeks) will hold its next meeting on Saturday, Feb. 7 at the Fayette County Agriculture Building in La Grange (255 Svoboda Ln). The evening begins with Beekeeping 101 from 4:30-5:30 p.m. a session ideal for beginners or anyone interested in getting started with honey bees. At 5:30 p.m. members and guests will enjoy a potluck dinner please bring a favorite entrée, side, or dessert to share. Following dinner, the club will conduct its regular business meeting and then welcome this month’s guest speaker, Kyle Cosby, a fourth-generation beekeeper and organic farmer who teaches beekeeping classes and assists beekeepers with best practices and hive maintenance. His presentation will focus on organic mite treatment strategies for maintaining strong, thriving hives. Annual membership is $25 per individual or family, and guests are always welcome. Ledbetter Bingo
Bingo for Seniors (60 and older plus guests) will be held in the Ledbetter Community Center on Sunday, Feb. 8 from 2-4 p.m. Doors open at 1:30 p.m. $5 card covers all games with prizes awarded for each game. Chips, snacks and drinks will be available for freewill donation.

Habitat For Humanity ReStore

Community Prayer Gathering
Everyone is invited to the monthly Community Prayer Gathering. This is an area wide multi-church sponsored event meeting the first Sunday of each month at Redimidos por Cristo Church which is located across the street from Tejas Healthcare beginning at 5 p.m. The address is 131 S. Texas Hunter Education Class A hunter education class will be held Monday, Feb. 16 at the Fayette County Gun Club, 5338 N. Highway 77, in La Grange. American Legion Quade-Werchan The meetings of the American Legion Quade-Werchan Post No. 338 and Auxiliary for February and March 2026 will be held on Thursdays, Feb. 5 and March 5. Each of these meetings will take place at their facilities located at 1503 N. State Hwy. 237, Round Top, beginning at 6:30 p.m. Thanks to the recently passed LEGION Act (Let Everyone Get Involved In Opportunities for National Service Act), Congress expanded the current membership eligibility period to cover Dec. 7, 1941, to the present, and includes the current war campaigns. Previously, there were seven declared war periods. Now there are two, the current war period dating back to World War II and another war era covering World War I. No other restrictions to American Legion membership changed. All veterans in the Round Top-Carmine, Burton, La Grange and Giddings area are encouraged to join and share in fellowship with others who have served our nation.
Hermann Sons Rutersville will hold their February membership meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 4 beginning at 7 p.m. The main meal will be pork roast. Bring your favorite sides and dessert.
“Rhapsody of Freedom” Play
“Rhapsody of Freedom” by Mary Margaret Mann, playwright sponsored by the Smith-McMillan Chapter, NSDAR andpresented by La Grange High School Drama Club exploring the bond between Gen. Feed The Need
Feed the Need, a non-profit organization whose mission is to feed people physically and spiritually, will provide free burgers every Monday at 6:30 p.m. in La Grange at the south east corner of the courthouse square. Everyone is welcome.
