Classic Car Show
The Fayetteville Lions Club will host their antique and classic car show on the historic downtown square in Fayetteville on Saturday, March 30. Free admittance, free parking, food and drink available on site for purchase. Goodie bags and oldies music. Sunrise on Bluff
The La Grange Area Ministerial Alliance’s annual Easter Sunrise Service will start at 7 a.m. Sunday, March 31, at Kreische Brewery/Monument Hill State Historical Site. All are welcome to the short nondenominational Easter morning service. Those attending should bring a lawn chair.

For the Record on Page A2 & D3 Easter morning worship services at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, located at 110 W. Walnut in La Grange, are scheduled at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. on Easter Sunday, March 31. Services will include special music and Holy Communion. An Easter egg hunt for the children is scheduled for 10:15 a.m. following the early service. All are welcome to join.

Birth of A Navy Online Talk

All Sports Booster Club
La Grange All Sports Booster Club will hold its monthly meeting Wednesday, April 3, 5:30 p.m. in the high school library.
Networking Wednesday at LG Chamber Networking Wednesday, will be held April 3, from 10-11 a.m. at the La Grange Area Chamber of Commerce office located at 220 W. Colorado St., La Grange. This is a free event. Speaker will be Rocky Johnson, from the SMO Digital Marketing Agency.
La Grange Band Booster Club Meal The La Grange Band Booster Club fall meal will be held Thursday, April 4 from 4:40-6:30 p.m. Beef tips with buttered noodles, corn, green beans, roll and banana pudding will be served for $12 a plate, drive-thru only at the La Grange High School Cafeteria. The meal will be prepared by Koopmann Catering. Texas Heroes Museum Easter Hours The Texas Heroes Museum will be closed to celebrate Easter weekend, Friday through Sunday. The museum will resume normal hours on Friday, April 5.
Pagel Cemetery Clean-Up Day

Beekeepers Association Meeting
The Fayette County Beekeepers Association (FaycoBeeks) will have their next meeting on Saturday, April 6, at the Fayette County Agriculture Building in La Grange, located at 255 Svoboda Ln. For anyone interested in learning about beekeeping, there will be a Beekeeping 101 Honey Bee Biology presentation from 4:30-5:30 p.m. A potluck dinner will follow, please bring your favorite entrée, side or dessert to share. Afterwards, there will be a business meeting, an open discussion on bee-things, and a guest presentation. It is also a great opportunity to meet up with experienced beekeepers who can serve as mentors and advisors. Membership dues for 2024 are $25/year, individual or family. Membership is not required to attend meetings, FaycoBeeks welcomes all attendees and encourages beekeepers and their families to join. FaycoBeeks meet the first Saturday of every month, more information can be found at faycobeeks.org.
Lions Sealy Dance Club
The Lions Sealy Dance Club is having a dance on Saturday, April 6, at the Sealy American Legion Hall. The band, Texas Sound Check, will be providing live music from 7:30 to 11 p.m. The public is always welcome.

Barbecue Pork Fundraiser
The Warda Bunch Show Fund will have a barbecue pork fundraiser on Saturday, April 13. Barbecue pork butts will be available in 2.5-4 lb. pieces for $10.50/lb. 16 oz. cups of sauce are $3. Orders will be taken for the number of pieces you would like (not by the pound). Pick up at the Holy Cross picnic grounds in Warda from 4-6 p.m. Pre-orders only by calling the Holy Cross Church office at (979) 242-3333 by Thursday, April 4.
Muldoon VFD Fundraiser
The Muldoon VFD will have its annual fundraiser and open house on April 20. The public is welcome from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with hamburgers, hotdogs and chips served, starting at 11:30 a.m. Guests are asked to bring a dessert. Water and tea will be provided. There will be a silent, live auction as well as 50/50 drawings. Auction items can be dropped off at the Muldoon Station from 9 a.m until noon on March 16 and April 19 or by contacting Chief Stephen Kelly at (512) 914-6021.
Hermann Sons
Hermann Sons Life Rutersville will have their regular monthly meeting on April 3. A meal of potato pancakes and sausage will be served. Members are asked to bring a side or dessert.
The 27th John Wick Family Reunion will be held at the St. Mary Parish Hall in High Hill on Sunday, April 7, with registration starting at 10 a.m. A catered meal of fried chicken and sausage will be served at Noon for $14 a plate for 13 years and up; children 12 and under eat free. Please bring a dessert to share. Tea and coffee will be served with the meal. A silent auction, guessing games, and door prizes will be featured events. Black Jack Springs Cemetery
Black Jack Springs Cemetery, located at Black Jack Lane on FM 609 between La Grange and Flatonia, will hold its annual Decoration Day the Sunday after Easter, April 7 at 2:30 p.m. The program will be a memorial service, followed by a brief business meeting, fellowship and light refreshments. Stories of deceased relatives and friends are usually told, and annual dues for the support of the cemetery are collected. Please come with your children and grandchildren, with some light refreshments and with stories of your ancestors and friends buried at Black Jack Springs Cemetery.
