The Fayette Co. Record will not publish a Tuesday Dec. 26 edition because of the Christmas Holidays. The newspaper offices will be closed Friday Dec. 22-Tuesday Dec. 26. The Jan. 2 edition will be printed the morning of Tuesday Jan. 2 and on newstands that afternoon but won’t arrive by mail to readers until Wednesday Jan. 3

Second Chance

The Second Chances sales store will be open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Dec. 15, 16 and 22. The sales store will be closed Dec. 23, 29 and 30. Donation drop-off will be open 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Dec. 11-16, Dec. 18-22 and Dec. 27-29. Donates will be closed Dec. 23-26 and Dec. 30 through Jan. 1.

New Life Methodist

New Life Methodist Church, located at 1215 N. Von Minden in La Grange, invites you to enjoy their Christmas Eve Services, at 10 a.m. Ruby McGuill Ministries presents “If the Stable Could Speak” At 4 p.m., the Contemporary Candlelight Service will be held and at 6 p.m. will be the traditional Candlelight Service. Both evening services will serve open Communion.

Clerk Fee Changes

Fayette County Clerk, Brenda Fietsam, wants to notify the public of fee changes in the County Clerk’s Office effective Jan. 1, 2024 due to recent legislative actions. These changes will affect most recordings in the Official Public Records, including DBAs, Tax Liens, Brands, Plats, Marriage Licenses, and Postings.
