FCCT Hosts Open Mic Night
The Fayette County Community Theatre is hosting Open Mic Night from 7 to 9 p.m. Oct. 19. Come out to the FCCT Box Office and Studio at 120 S. Washington St. in La Grange to share your acting, comedic, vocal, or musical talents, or to enjoy the talents of others.
Christmas Crafts Welcome
Help Sages and Saints by making homemade items that can be sold at the Christmas Craft Show on Nov. 18 at New Life Methodist Church Fellowship Hall located at 1215 N. Von Minden from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Purchase lunch and dessert provided by the Methodist Men.
Christmas Craft Fair
The New Life Methodist Church (formerly FUMC) will host a Christmas Craft Fair on Saturday, Nov. 18. Lunch will be served by the Methodist Men. Calling all Page Warriors
The Fayette Public Library has a new Junior Book Club for ages 7-12. The Page Warriors meet every third Wednesday of every month from 4-5 p.m. in the library meeting room. Book club members will be discussing new and old favorites and are encouraged to bring their own books. Come and join the fun. This month’s meeting will be on Wednesday, Oct. 18. Coffee, Conversations Adult Book Club
A Coffee and Conversations Adult Book Club will meet every third Saturday of every month from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Come and join at the Fayette Public Library to discuss new book releases and old favorites. Hunter Safety Course Offered
A hunter safety education course will be taught on Saturday, Oct. 21, by Bobby Eichler of La Grange. The course will be taught from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Six hours of instruction is a requirement to receive a hunter safety certificate. The course will be taught at the Fayette County Agricultural Building. The cost of the course is $15. Each participant is requested to bring a sack lunch and a drink. Several breaks are planned.
