RT Hermann Sons

Round Top Hermann Sons Lodge No. 151 will meet Thursday, July 27 at the Round Top American Legion Hall. Social hour at 6 p.m. and meeting at 6:30 p.m. Hotdogs will be furnished and members are asked to bring a side dish or dessert.

Optimist Volleyball

There’s more The La Grange Knights of Columbus Chromcik Council No. 2574 will host their annual Memorial Scholarship Golf Tournament Friday, July 28 at Frisch Auf! Valley Country Club, morning and afternoon tee times. Two person scramble is $250 per team. All golfers are entitled to a free meal and drinks after the tournament at the La Grange Knights of Columbus Community Center. A live and silent auction and door prizes will be held. Dinner & Dancing Under the Stars

St. Paul Lutheran Church and Shared Lutheran Ministires will present Dinner & Dancing Under the Stars on Saturday, July 29 at the Sons of Hermann Hall, Rutersville. The hall is located at 5830 State Hwy. 159 in La Grange. A fried chicken meal will be served with scalloped potatoes, green beans and corn for a free-will offering. Coffee and tea will be provided, BYOB. Enjoy a dessert table, live and silent auction. Music will be by the Back Porch Boys beginning at 6 p.m. All proceeds will benefit Lutherhill Ministires. Church members are asked to bring cakes or desserts for the meal.

Golf Tourney to Support Baseball Fields

A golf tournament will be held Aug. 5 at the Brenham Country Club to benefit field maintance and improvements at the Fayetteville baseball field. Includes green fee and cart, barbecue meal and auction and hole in one prizes, water, soda and beer while supplies last.

Reading at the Library

Do you need practice reading out loud? Are you nervous to read in front of others? Do you need a friend who will listen and not judge? Do you love dogs? Fayette Public Library is partnering with Pets With A Mission on Tuesday, Aug. 10 from 5-6 p.m. to provide a relaxing hour of reading for children in grades 1st-6th.
