‘Following The Fish’ Show
Come view the work ofAmerica’s foremost nature print artist, Dinah Bowman. Her exhibition will be on display through July 8 at ARTS Gorman Gallery, 1201 Kessler Ave. in Schulenburg.
Holy Smokers Barbecue
The St. James Episcopal Men’s Club (the Holy Smokers) will hold a barbecue Saturday, July 8 from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. or until sold out, at 156 N. Monroe St. across from H-E-B. A half chicken is $6 and sausage link is $7. The meal is drive-thru only. This barbecue is for the benefit of the Children’s Advocacy Center.
Bingo in Ledbetter
Bingo for Seniors (60 and older plus guests) will be held at the Ledbetter Community Center on Sunday, July 9 from 2-4 p.m. Doors open at 1:15 p.m. $5 per card covers all games with prizes awarded for each game. Chips/snacks and drinks will be available for freewill donation.
Vacation Bible School
First Baptist Church of Schulenburg invites children who have completed kindergarten through fifth grades to Vacation Bible School on July 10-14, from 8:30 a.m to 11:30 a.m. each day. Varsity Football Season Tickets
La Grange ISD varsity football reserved season ticket holders from the 2022 season may purchase reserved tickets at the La Grange ISD Administration Building, 560 N. Monroe in La Grange, beginning the week of July 17 through July 27, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. closed Friday and July 31 - Aug. 4. from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The office is closed Fridays. The cost of each reserved season ticket is $50 for five home games. Current reserved season tickets not claimed during this time will go on sale to the public on July 29. Chess Club Meets on Monday
The Monday nights Chess Club meets at the Randolph Recreation Center, Building C, located at 653 E. Pearl St., on Mondays from 5:15-6:15 p.m. Club participation is free and open to ages 6 to adult. Free chess instruction provided by a scholastic chess coach (ret.) with U.I.L. Chess Puzzle coaching experience. Come enjoy casual chess play and the opportunity to improve your game.
