Jammie is from Trinity, Texas and is a professional long arm quilter and Certified Instructor for Studio 180 Design. Her program and trunk show is “Forensics of Quilting” where she will show us how to visually break down the components of a block, helping us to understand that most blocks are easier than you think. Jammie’s quilts are always fun and really fantastic.The Colorado Valley Quilt Guild meets the fourth Tuesday of each month at the Randolph Recreation Center, located at 653 East Pearl Street, Room A East, in La Grange. Guild meetings begin at 6 p.m. on even months and 10 a.m. on odd months. Power Hour at St. Mark’s
St. Mark’s Monthly Free Power Hour, Wednesday, June 28, 2-3 p.m. “The Importance of Foot Health.” Plus, learn more about how to check foot health at home and important tips associated with diabetic wound care health concerns. Muldoon Independence Day Celebration Muldoon will host a Independence Day Celebration on Saturday, July 1 with a parade, auction and lunch. Parade line up by the Muldoon Baptist Church begins at 8:30 a.m. with the parade starting at 9:30 a.m. The live and silent auction will begin at 10:30 a.m. A lunch of hot dogs will be served after the auction. Bring a side dish and dessert. Bottle water will be provided. A gun raffle drawing will be held at 2 p.m. Auction donations are needed. Bring auction perishables on the day of the event. St. John July 4th Patriotism
Fayette County Precinct 4 Justice of the Peace Paul Zapalac will deliver a patriotic message for the 10 a.m. flag program on July 4 at St. John Parish Picnic. Zapalac serves as Grand Knight of the Schulenburg Knights of Columbus Council.
Feed the Need, a non-profit organization whose mission is to feed people physically and spiritually, will provide free burgers every Monday at 6:30 p.m. in La Grange at the south east corner of the courthouse square. Everyone is welcome.
Meiners Reunion
The Meiners family reunion will be held Saturday, June 24 at Waldeck Lutheran Church located at 6515 Waldeck Church Lane in Waldeck. Lunch will be served at 12 noon with meat, bread, coffee and tea furnished. Bring a side or dessert. For informaiton, call Barbara Meiners at (979) 249-5785.
The Winter’s Tale
The Winter’s Tale by William Shakespeare will be presented by Camp Shakespeare at Winedale on Saturday, June 24 at 3 p.m. at the La Grange ISD Performing Arts Center. Tickets are $10.
