Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 870 will meet on the third Wednesday of the month at 7 p.m. at the Ammannsville KJT Hall located in Ammannsville. Food and refreshments will be available after the meeting. Members and prospective members are encouraged to attend.

Feeling lucky? Bingo for Seniors
Enjoy Bingo for 60 and older plus guests at the Ledbetter Community Center on Sunday, June 18 from 2-4 p.m. Cards are $5 and it covers all games with prizes awarded each game. Chips, snacks and drinks are available for a free will donation.
There’s more City of La Grange Utilities office will be closed on Monday, June 19 for Juneteenth Holiday. Waste Management will not have a holiday and will run their normal garbage schedule.

Fayette Water Supply Corporation will be conducting a meeting of the Board of Directors on Monday, June 19 at 5:30 p.m. at the FWSC office located at 200 Bordovsky Road in La Grange. All members are encouraged to attend.

Fayette County Community Theatre
Fayette County Community Theatre will hold open auditions for the summer children’s production, Back to the 80s, on June 19 and June 20 at 5:30 p.m. at La Grange ISD Performing Arts Center located on the La Grange Elementary School campus.
VFW Post 5254 and Auxiliary
On Tuesday, June 20 meetings of the La Grange Fayette Memorial Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 5254 andAuxiliary will be held at the VFW Home in La Grange. Meeting time for the VFW Auxiliary is 5 p.m. A joint light meal will be held at 6 p.m., followed by the VFW Post meeting. New potential members are invited to attend.
Farm Bureau Potluck Dinner
Flatonia-Cistern Farm Bureau potluck dinner and 2023 quarterly meeting will be held on Tuesday, June 20 at the American Legion Hall in Flatonia. Social hour will start at 6 p.m. and dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m. The guest speaker will be Muldoon Fire Chief Stephen Kelley. A short business meeting will follow the potluck meal. Members are asked to bring a dish.
Support Group
Hospice Brazos Valley is having a monthly support group for caregivers of people who have terminal or chronic illnesses on the third Wednesday of each month from 10 to 11 a.m. This will be held at the HBV office located at 1048 North Jackson in La Grange. Colorado Valley Quilt Guild Join the Colorado Valley Quilt Guild on Tuesday, June 27 at 6 p.m. and welcome guest presenter, Jammie Ackley. Jammie is from Trinity, Texas and is a professional long arm quilter and Certified Instructor for Studio 180 Design. Her program and trunk show is “Forensics of Quilting” where she will show us how to visually break down the components of a block, helping us to understand that most blocks are easier than you think. Jammie’s quilts are always fun and really fantastic.The Colorado Valley Quilt Guild meets the fourth Tuesday of each month at the Randolph Recreation Center, located at 653 East Pearl Street, Room A East, in La Grange. Guild meetings begin at 6 p.m. on even months and 10 a.m. on odd months. Meetings are always open to the public, so grab a friend and come learn more about this wonderful service organization in La Grange.
