Poetry Month Celebration
The Friends of the Weimar Public Library welcome all area poets, young and old, to participate in our National Poetry Month celebration. On Thursday, April 27, members of the surrounding communities are invited to participate in Open Mic Night by sharing their gift of poetry at 6 p.m. outdoors at the gazebo by the library. You may choose to read your own poem or one by your favorite poet. The event is intended to celebrate our friends and neighbors who enjoy and write poetry, an art form that has declined in recent years, but has been revitalized during the pandemic. Come and celebrate an evening of poetry with our local poets. Light refreshments will be served. If interested in sharing your work, RSVP to the library at (979) 725-6608.
Vietnam Veterans Meeting
Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 870 will meet on the third Wednesday of the month at 7 p.m. at the Ammannsville KJT Hall located in Ammannsville. Food and refreshments will be available after the meeting. Members and prospective members are encouraged to attend.

Widowed Spouses Support Group Hospice Brazos Valley will host a Grief Support Group on the third Tuesday of each month from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. for anyone who is grieving the loss of a spouse. For more information, contact Cindy Fanning at (979) 968-6913.

Loss of a Child Support Group
