Second Chance

The Fayette County Record will publish the Friday edition as normal this week, but we will not publish an issue Tuesday Dec. 27 (we always skip an issue close to Christmas). Our offices will be closed Friday, Dec. 23 and Monday, Dec. 26. Merry Christmas! We will also close at noon Friday Dec. 30.

The Second Chance sales store is open Thursday, Dec. 22 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for the last sales day of 2022. Second Chance will be closed the weekends of Dec. 23-24 and Dec. 3031. Donations and drop-off will be open Dec. 19-22 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day. Donations and drop-off will be closed Dec. 23-31.

Garbage Schedule

La Grange City offices will be closed Dec. 23 and Dec. 26. Waste Management will not have a holiday. Residential and commercial garbage service will be on your normal day.

Christmas Service

United Evangelical Lutheran Churchn located at 2038 FM 3171 in Schulenburg invites the community to join in this festive Christmas Season. Services will be: Dec. 24, Christmas Eve Children’s Pageant: Carols, Candles & Communion at 6 p.m.

Dec. 25, Christmas Day: Carols and Communion 9:15 a.m.

Dec. 31, Happy New Year Anno Domini 2023: Dominoes, Devotions, Sparklers, Bell Ringing and Bubbly (nonalcoholic). Join United Evangelical Lutheran Church at the Salem Building at 8 p.m. to midnight for games and fun. Bring family, friends, and a snack to share.
