LG Garden Club
Join Fayette County Habitat for Humanity at the Fayette County Fairgrounds for Hab-O-Ween laser tag! Games will take place Oct. 27-30 between 5-9 p.m. each day. Tickets are $10 (5v5 or PVP). The La Grange Garden Club will meet for its regular monthly meeting at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 27 at the Randolph Recreation Center, 653 E. Pearl St. The meeting will include a program on the care and uses of herb plants given by Cindy Meredith, owner of The Herb Cottage & Nursery. Everyone is invited to attend, especially members, so bring a friend to benefit from this interesting and educational program. Light refreshments will be served. Harvest Carnival
The Fayetteville PTC will be holding their Harvest Carnival on Friday, Oct. 28 from 4:30-8 p.m. at St. John’s Catholic Church Pavilion located at 205 Bell Street in Fayetteville. There will be games, a bucket raffle, cake walk, prize wheel, gift card wheel and raffle. Raffle tickets will be sold by FISD students. They are $10 for one ticket. Beef stew, chili, hot dogs nachos, Frito pie and drinks will be available. You will be able to dine in the hall, under the pavilion or take food to go. Come dressed in your costume for a festive time. The Harvest Carnival is the largest fundraiser for the PTC. It’s a fun night for FISD and the community.
There’s more RVOS Lodge 94 will have a business meeting Friday, Oct. 28 at 6 p.m. The meeting will be at 912 Rek Hill Rd.
Holidays Without You

Behind The Bark-Nature’s Artworks
The International Wood Collectors Society presents Behind the Bark Nature’s Artworks at the Historic Casino Hall, 254 N. Jefferson in La Grange, Nov. 1 and 2 for an exhibit of natural art in the form of exceptionally figured woods. Featured are highly figured woods from around the word. If you love beautiful wood, you can’t miss this event. Tuesday, Nov. 1 from noon until 5 p.m. and Wednesday, Nov. 2 from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. No admission fee.
Plum Hermann Sons Life Meeting
The Plum Hermann Sons Life will hold their monthly meeting Tuesday, Nov. 1 beginning at 4 p.m. at the Prairie Valley Schoolhouse, 2510 Williams Rd. in West Point. Note the date change. Meal and dessert will be provided by the Lodge.
CDA Pork Steak Drive-Thru Dinner
A pork steak drive-thru supper will be held Thursday, Nov. 3 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at the KC Community Center located at 190 S. Brown St. in La Grange. The meal is sponsored by Catholic Daughters of the Americas No. 1962. Dinner will include a barbecue pork steak, buttered noodles, Californian blendveggies, and corn. Drivethru only plates are $13. Kaluza Family Reunion
The descendants of Frank and Elizabeth Kaluza will hold their 22nd Biennial Family Reunion on Saturday, Nov. 5. All relatives and guest are welcome to come to the KJT Hall inAmmannsville to enjoy the gettogether. Registration will begin at 10 a.m. All families are requested to bring an entree and a vegetable dish or dessert. A buffet style meal will be served at noon. A short meeting and silent auction will follow. The hosting family is the Bedrich and Filomena Rohan family.

KC & CDA Memorial Service & Mass
The annual Memorial Service and Mass for Knights of Columbus Chromcik Council No. 2574, Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court Annunciation No. 1962 and Court Queen of the Holy Rosary No. 2282 will be held Tuesday, Nov. 8 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Plum. Recitation of the Rosary begins at 6:30 p.m., Memorial Service and Mass at 7 p.m., followed by a supper at the parish hall.
