Quiros Designs Massive Table for New FISD Boardroom
Dr. Jeff Harvey approached Fayetteville resident Evan Quiros about designing and building a conference table for the new FISD boardroom. The magnificent wooden table, weighing about 500 lbs., is 5’ wide x 10’ long. “It’s constructed of cedar and edged in ebony. The wood grain of the cedar is spectacular. The legs are made of steel tubing. The cedar logs came from Carlos Conseco’s ranch in New Ulm. Actually, several locals contributed to this great project,” commented Quiros.
The table will be moved from his shop to the second floor of the newly refurbished Red Building prior to the unveiling of the building rededication on Sept. 17. A mock table of 2x4’s was built to make a trial run, ensuring the final table could be moved up the stairs.
