Two handmade quilts donated by the Fayetteville Quilting Bee at St. Paul Lutheran Church will be auctioned off at 1:30 on Sunday, October 16 for the Greater Fayetteville Chamber of Commerce 45th Annual Lickskillet day event. Again, this year a prize-winning quilt by Gay Dobbs and Gail Duncan made from vintage Lickskillet T-shirts will go on the auction block. An additional queen size quilt done in a stunning old house pattern is the top item. They can be viewed at Fayetteville Bank.

It is a tradition not to be missed to hear Rick Sodek contribute his auctioneer skills to the afternoon festivities. Additional items include two bicycles donated by Bob and Yvonne McGowan, shrimp boil for 12 from Joe’s Place, Gina Hillock’s homemade buttermilk pie and numerous other items. A silent auction will also be held in the Fayetteville Courthouse. Antiques from Old World Antieks, ceramic art by Pat Johnson and items from other local businesses will be included.

Enjoy a day of parade, barbecue lunch, Czech music and fun on the square. Proceeds go towards community activities and scholarships for local youth. To donate contact info@greaterfayettevillechamber. org.
