Plenty of Ways to Plan Your Halloween Fun in Fayette Co.
Looking for Halloween fun? There’s no shortage of events locally over the next few days. Here’s some you may want to consider:
Downtown LG
The annual Trick-or-treat on the square in La Grange will be Monday Oct. 31 from 4-6 p.m. Downtown businesses around the square will be handing out candy.
Harvest Carnival
The Fayetteville PTC will be holding their Harvest Carnival on Friday, Oct. 28 from 4:30-8 p.m. at St. John’s Catholic Church Pavilion located at 205 Bell Street in Fayetteville. There will be games, a bucket raffle, cake walk, prize wheel, gift card wheel and raffle. Beef stew, chili, hot dogs nachos, Frito pie and drinks will be available.
Fall Festival
RT-C Parents’ Club is sponsoring the Fall Festival on Saturday, Oct. 29 at the RT-C Elementary School from 5-8 p.m. Enjoy a kids costume parade, kids carnival, and high school entertainment. There will also be a drawing and silent auction.
Church of Christ
The La Grange Church of Christ will have a Trunk or Treat at their building at 646 E. State Highway 71 in La Grange from 5-7 p.m. Sunday Oct. 30. They will have games, candy, a bounce house, and hot dogs.
State Historic Site
Enjoy spooky stories of locals ranging from The Warda Witch to the Widow Dach to the Haunting of the Courthouse and much more at Kreische Brewery & Monument Hill State Historic Sites Saturday, Oct. 29. Stories begin at 7 p.m. but come early to watch the sunset and enjoy BYO picnics. Guests are encouraged to bring picnics, beverages, chairs or blanket, and flashlights. The sites’ regular admission fees apply.
LG Elementary
La Grange elementary will be hosting a Trunk or Treat Sunday Oct, 30 from 4-6 p.m. at the elementary parking lot.
Halloween Laser Tag
Fayette County Habitat for Humanity will bring back it’s “Hab-O-Ween” Laser Tag for the second year in a row in La Grange from Oct. 2730 from 5 to 9 p.m. each day at the Fayette County Fairgrounds. The Halloween-themed laser tag arena will be set up inside Country Store area of the Fair Event Center. Each round of laser tag costs $10 and lasts 15 minutes. There will be a waiting area set up with movies, board games, hot dogs and more for players to enjoy while waiting for their round of laser tag.
Halloween Bingo
The Ellinger Chamber of Commerce will be sponsoring a Halloween Bingo event on Saturday, Oct. 29. Doors will open at 4:30 p.m. The games get underway at 6 p.m. Costumes encouraged.
