Play Bingo this Saturday in Ellinger
The Ellinger Chamber of Commerce will host Bingo on April 13 at the Chamber Hall (104 W. Colorado Sky) with doors opening at 4 p.m. Kitchen opens at 5 p.m. with hamburgers, hot dogs, nachos, desserts and refreshments for sale. Games will start at 6 p.m.
Shared Lutheran Ministry
St. John in Ellinger will hold the annual hot dog and bake sale on Saturday, May 11 at the church fellowship hall. The bake sale will be a free will donation and begins at 9:30 a.m.
St. John in Ellinger will have Breakfast Church on Sunday, April 14. Service begins at 8 a.m.
Worship services are still offered on Facebook, You Tube and KTIM 89.1 on Sundays at noon. Ellinger has worship every Sunday at 8 a.m. with communion.
Brethren Church
Fayetteville Brethren Church has services the second, third, and fourth Saturdays of each month at 10 a.m. Other services are at Industry Brethren on the second, third and fourth Saturdays at 5 p.m., Wesley Brethren on Sundays at 9 a.m. and Nelsonville Brethren on Sundays at 10:15 a.m. Rev. Mike Groseclose leads all the services. The Nelsonville service is live streamed on Nelsonville Brethren’s Facebook page.
Hermann Sons
The Ellinger Hermann Sons Life will meet on Monday, April 15 at 6 p.m. at the Ellinger Fire Station.
Pay Attention While Driving
There have been a number of wrecks lately on Highway 71 on both sides of Ellinger. Please be careful entering and exiting 71 and on your way to your destination. 18 wheelers are changing lanes and exiting 71 that some do not see if time. The fire department as well as Fayette County EMS and air medical flights have been called out to wrecks recently.
Hermann Sons
There will be a family fun day for all members at Six Flags Fiesta Texas on June 22. Junior members who are registered by April will be admitted free of charge. The registration form is in the monthly newsletter. Discounted tickets are available for all other members and the meal will be serviced at 3 p.m. Check your newsletter for more details.
