Play Bingo in Ledbetter April 12

The next Bingo party at the Ledbetter Community Center will be on Sunday, April 12 from 2-4 p.m. Doors open at 1:15 p.m.

A card for $5 covers all games with prizes awarded for each game. Snacks and drinks will be available for a donation.

RT-C School News 

Round Top-Carmine High School baseball team travels to Mumford on March 24 to play a double-header with the first game at 4:30 p.m. The team plays another doubleheader on March 31 in Iola. The first game also begins at 4:30 p.m.

Jr. High athletes will participate in a track meet at Fayetteville on March 30. High school participates in a track meet on April 2, also at Fayetteville.

A student holiday and professional development day is scheduled for March 27.

FFA meeting will be held on April 1 at 6:30 p.m.

April 3 and 6 will be holidays for Good Friday and Easter Monday.

Congratulations to the RT-C band on earning a Division I rating at the UIL Concert & Sight-Reading Contest on March 4. This achievement is a reflection of the countless hours of practice, dedication, and teamwork from these talented students and their director. Keep making beautiful music and setting the standard for excellence.

All-District Boys’ Basketball honors for this season have been announced. RT-C players include: Facundo Cerda, First Team All-District; Tre’Veon Fisher, Cash Robertson, and Kash Wessels, Second Team All-District; and William Neese, Honorable Mention. Congratulations to these athletes.

National Beta Week happened to be during spring break, so the group celebrated early by hosting a drive for needed items for the Gardenia Janssen Animal Shelter in La Grange the week before. Thank you to everyone who donated and helped support animals in need.

A number of RT-C students participated at the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo and did very well. Congratulations to: Bree Dooley, Grand Champion Broilers; Luke Behnke, Fourth Place Broilers; Summer Dooley, Seventeenth Place Broilers; Lylah Robertson, Fifth Place ARB Heifer; Libby Robertson, Sixth Place Angus; and Carter Marburger, Fourth in Class (Limousin). Keely Dallmeyer has had a busy week in Houston, showing in a large class of 41 exhibitors with her heifer and competing in multiple events, including Livestock Judging (1,100 plus contestants), Food Challenge and Ag Product ID. A couple more students are preparing to show later in the competition.

Rebekah Group 

Nine members were present for the Rebekah Group meeting on March 12, 2026. They were Sedalia Ullrich, Sharon Rhome, Joann Ullrich, Susan Ray, Diana Wunderlich, Joys Baird, Leonita Sanders, Nancy Eilers, and Dianna Gerland.

Joys Baird led the Bible study with the theme “I AM, God’s Name, God’s Promise”: Session 1-God who abides; Bread, Light and Vine.

President Susan Ray called the business meeting to order.

Diana Wunderlich gave the offering meditation.

A thank-you message was received from Ora Lee Levien for the card sent to her for her ninety-seventh birthday. She really appreciated it. Thank-you notes were read from AMEN Food Pantry and Stamps for the Wounded.

A number of food items were received for AMEN in February. Quilting was on March 9 for Lutheran World Relief.

A party has been scheduled at Silversage assisted living in Brenham on May 5 at 2 p.m. Joys Baird and Sedalia Ullrich took Holy Communion to Jefferson Place, Oakland Manor, Bec’s Blessing, Argent Court, Silversage, and Brenham Nursing & Rehab.

Baby Care Kits for Lutheran World Relief will be assembled on April 16 at 9 a.m. in the Mission and Ministry Building.

Susan Schultz from AMEN in La Grange will be the guest speaker for the Women of the ELCA salad supper on June 3. The theme is “Feeding the Multitude.” Ladies are asked to bring nonperishable food items for the decorations.

St. Paul Lutheran Church in Columbus will host the Western Cluster Spring Happening on April 18.

Happy Birthday was sung for the March birthday celebrants, Barbara Jacob and Diana Wunderlich.

Hostesses were Leonita Sanders and Susan Ray.

MLLC News 

The last Lenten worship service at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Round Top is on March 25 with the Rev. John David Nedbalek leading the service. A potluck meal will be served with members of all churches bringing food.

AA meeting is Saturday at 8:30 a.m.

Sunday School is Sunday at 9 a.m.

Worship with Holy Communion, observing Palm Sunday, is Sunday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Bonnie Parker serving as the guest pastor.

Domino party is Monday at 1 p.m.

Recycling 

The recycling trailers are at the Carmine Hall on Thursdays from 1-4 p.m.

Clean milk cartons should be kept separate from the other No. 2 plastics. They also accept clean No. 1 plastic bottles and jugs. Note that numbers 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 plastics and plastic bags are not accepted.
