PAT to Host Meeting May 10
The Rural Nonprofit Networking Group (RNNG) is excited to invite all nonprofit staff and volunteers to join their next gathering which will be held on Wednesday, May 10. RNNG creates opportunities for the organizations that do so much good in our rural communities to share their missions and visions, discuss community needs and partnership opportunities, bring in experts to facilitate growth and professionalism, and simply connect to maximize the efficiency and impact that participants can bring to Fayette, Colorado, Lavaca and surrounding counties.
This month, the gathering will be hosted by Parents and Teachers Association of Schulenburg and Weimar (PAT) and begins at 10 a.m. The gathering will be held at the First United Methodist Church (301 West Charles St.) in Weimar. Josue Rivas, Development Director, and Karen Hoskins, Program Director, will facilitate the discussion. The topic this month is “Building Strong Relationships That Make a Difference.” The topic conversation will not only cover how to build relationships with clients and donors, but how to expand and maintain those relationships.
PAT is a parent-education and family support program serving families throughout pregnancy until their child enters kindergarten, usually age five. PAT’s goals are to increase parent knowledge of early childhood development and improve parenting practices, provide early detection of developmental delays and health issues, prevent child abuse and neglect, and increase children’s school readiness and school success. PAT offers personal home visits, development screenings, group connections and a resource network. The mission of PAT is to provide the information, support and encouragement parents need to help their children develop optimally during the crucial early years of life.
The Rural Nonprofit Networking Group would like to invite all organizations interested in participating to attend either in-person or virtually.
