Pam Giese Running for Ward 3 Spot On La Grange City Council
My name is Pam Giese and I would like the opportunity to serve as the Ward 3 represent on the La Grange City Council. I am proud of the work that I did in the 30 years spent as an attorney in La Grange and as the assistant county attorney for Lee County. I believe my training, knowledge and experience as a small town attorney can be an asset to our city council. Since I am now retired, I have the time to research and understand all issues coming before the city council.
I feel blessed to live in La Grange, and I feel it a privilege to give my best efforts to our city government. La Grange has been my home for the past 48 years. The Giese family roots in Fayette County go back more than 100 years. I know how things were and how things are now. While we should not let the past dictate the future, knowledge of our history and preserving what is special about La Grange is critical to future decision making.
I believe every resident’s voice should be heard and that the city council has the obligation to do what is in the best interest of our town as a whole. My loyalty to our town will insure that I always take actions that are in the best interest of all of La Grange. I am also very aware that many La Grange residents are retired or work in jobs that are the backbone of our community. I will strive to balance improvements against the cost to our residents.
Since retiring from my law practice I am blessed too give part of my time to volunteering in our community. I probably see many of you at AMEN or Second Chance where I regularly volunteer. If given the opportunity to serve you on our city council, I will continue those same public service efforts to better our town.
I ask for your vote in the upcoming city election.
