Supporters and opponents of the proposed $90 million La Grange ISD Bond have both formed political action committees (PACs).
These committees allow supporters and opponents of the bond to raise funds and spend money to influence the upcoming school bond election.
“Proud Past Bright Future,” a PAC supporting the bond, was formed on Feb. 27. The PAC’s treasurer is Seth Gunn, according to a filing with the Texas Ethics Commission.
A PAC opposing the bond called “Taxpayers for Responsible Schools” formed on March 16. A filing with the Texas Ethics Commissioner listed Ken Dernehl as its treasurer.
