Oversize Load Knocks Down Power Pole

An oversized load traveling on SH 159 pulled down lines and a utility pole just outside of La Grange on Tuesday afternoon, Feb. 20. La Grange Fire Chief Frank Menefee said the incident involved a secondary electric line along with telephone and cable lines. La Grange Fire Department responded and blocked traffic while City of La Grange crews replaced the pole and restored power.
