Non-Profits Receive Second Chance Donation

Second Chance Emporium (SCE) recently donated $7,000 to the Texas Ramp Project. Monies donated will be used to purchase lumber and hardware to build wheelchair ramps for low income older adults and for people with disabilities. Chance Emporium recently donated $11,460 to the AMEN Food Pantry. Monies donated will be used to purchase a reach-in freezer for the food distribution center. AMEN Food Pantry provides food to families in need in the La Grange area. Second Chance Emporium recently donated $12,000 to the Smithville Workforce Training Center (SWTC). SWTC will coordinate efforts to provide classes/training in Fayette County to meet the employment needs of rural employers by providing credential courses in skilled trades (plumbing, welding, CDL, electrician, HVAC, etc.), medical (LVN, RN, surgical and pharmacy tech, counselor, dental assistant, etc.) and in IT/fi nance (coding, loan processing, bookkeeping, etc.) Monies donated by Second Chance Emporium will support this Fayette County initiative.
