Negotiations Continue With City Manager Candidate

The City of La Grange continues negotiations with Jack Thompson, the lone finalist for the vacant City Manager position.

The City Council picked Thompson as the lone finalist on Dec. 11. Thompson currently serves as the assistant city manager and economic development director for the City of Crowley, a suburb of Fort Worth.

Interim City Manager Frank Menefee told the Record last week that the City Council could make a decision at their meeting on Monday, Jan. 8. The Council was scheduled to meet in executive session during their regular meeting on Monday to discuss a possible employment agreement with Thompson.
