Moulton’s St. Joseph’s Picnic Set Sept. 20
Father Gabriel and the Parishioners of Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church in Moulton, invite you to their annual Parish Picnic on Sunday, Sept. 20, at St. Joseph’s Social Center located on the Church Grounds.
The celebration begins with a Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Church. The Picnic Meal features Moulton famous fried chicken and beef stew dinner with all the trimmings beginning at 10:30 a.m., $15 a plate. Drive thru plates-to-go and meat- to-go will be available. Music under the pavilion will be provided by Ken Brothers from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. A free dance inside the air-conditioned hall with music by Mark Halata and Texavia will be from 2-6 p.m. Other activities inside the Social Center will include a cake walk and bingo from 1-5 p.m.
The auction will be held under the pavilion beginning at 1 p.m.Auction items include quilts, afghans, wood-crafted and metal-crafted items, plants, livestock, antiques, homemade noodles, home canned goods and other items. Many more fun activites are planned for under the pavilion and on Picnic grounds including a country store, plant walk, fish pond, train ride, ring toss, ball throw and other games. A raffle drawing will be held, with $7,400 worth of gift certificates to be given away.
Plenty of refreshments, soda- pop, snow cones, popcorn and hamburgers will be on hand all afternoon. Mark your calendar and join for a good time Sept. 20.
