More on the Upcoming Highway 159 Closures

As reported last week, the Texas Department of Transportation plans to close portions of SH 159 north of La Grange for roadwork beginning on June 3.

The closures will take place intermittently in order to replace several drainage structures. Tx-DOT announced the following road closure schedule for the next six weeks: Monday, June 3 to Saturday, June 8 - 0.34 Mi. west of Forest Hills East Rd. Monday, June 10 to Friday, June 14 - 0.9 Mi. west of FM 2981 Monday, June 17 to Saturday, June 22 - West side of Forest Hills East Rd. Monday, June 24 to Thursday, June 27 - 0.75 Mi west of Forest Hills East Rd. Monday, July 1 to Wednesday, July 3 - 0.1 Mi. east of High Hill Creek Rd. Monday, July 8 to Friday, July 12 - 0.2 Mi. east of SH 71 Bypass. Motorists can avoid the closures by detouring via FM 2145 and FM 2961.
