McRobbery Suspect Turns Himself in to La Grange PD
The suspect accused of robbing the McDonald’s Restaurant in La Grange at gunpoint on Nov. 9 turned himself in to police last week.
La Grange Police Chief David Gilbreath reports that 22-year-old Morris Allen Cooper of Hallettsville surrendered at the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office on Thursday, Jan. 4. He faces a charge of aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon. Pct. 1 Justice of the Peace Kyle Hartmann set bond at $250,000.
Cooper allegedly robbed the McDonald’s Restaurant at gunpoint on Nov. 9 and got away with $1,942 in cash. The money has not been recovered, Gilbreath said.
Gibreath said the investigation continues and police are seeking to identify additional suspects who may have assisted in the robbery. If anyone has information about the robbery, please contact La Grange Police at (979) 9685806.
