Mayor Picks Two Pride of La Grange Quilts at Show

The “Best Little Quilt Show in Texas” packed hundreds of folks into the KC Hall over its two-day run Friday and Saturday in La Grange. But before the crowds showed up, La Grange Mayor Jan Dockery picked two of the roughly 180 quilts on display as her “Pride of La Grange” winners. Left, above, is the winner in the Professional category, “LeFleurs on Point” by Pat Docekal of Caddo Mills, Texas, who is pictured with Dockery. Above, right, is Dockery with the winning quilt in the Artisan category, “E-Komo-Mai –Welcome Come In” by Brenda Winfield of Muldoon.
