Mattress Mack’s Family Buys Up All the Girl Scout Cookies, Then Donates Them

Girl Scout Troop 32077 of La Grange donated ten cases of Girl Scout Cookies to the AMEN Food Pantry on Feb. 9 (above, left). Additional cases went to Fayette Co. EMS (above, right), La Grange Fire Department, Brazos Valley Hospice, Care Inn, and Jefferson Place Assisted Living. The gifts were made possible by a generous donation from the McIngvale family, owners of Gallery Furniture stores based in Houston. A family member paid for the inventory the Troop had on hand at a cookie booth at Hruska’s in Ellinger on Feb. 3, and delegated the Troop members to deliver cookies in the community. Troop 32077 is led by Rebecca Hegar, Jennifer Emmel, and Anna Hegar.
