Man Tries To Bite An Officer

Schulenburg Police arrested a man after he allegedly tried biting an officer during an escape attempt.

According to a report from the Schulenburg Police Department, Officers received a tip last Wednesday, Feb. 22, that an individual was at a residence despite a protective order being in place. Officers responded to a residence in the 900 block of Eilers St. around 7:50 p.m.

The subject, who was prohibited from being at the residence, was located within and placed under arrest, the report said.

While attempting to place the subject in the back seat of a Police Unit, the subject began to pull away multiple times and managed to free himself from Officers’ control.

Once back in control of the officers, the subject refused to get into the back seat. The subject proceeded to attempt to bite one of the officers while being placed into the backseat.

Freddy Ray Houston, Jr., 25 of Eagle Lake, was arrested for Violation of Protective Order and Resisting Arrest, Search, or Transport then transported to the Dan R. Beck Justice Center for booking.
